Bedroom Decor Morden White Bed

As a child who regularly asked Jeeves if I could sleep on a cloud without falling through (hoping for a more optimistic answer each time I punched my query into the bulky old keyboard, of course), I'm a big sucker for white bedrooms as an adult. It's a natural evolution. And whether or not you share that Disney-fueled fantasy, all-white interiors are a fitting choice in the bedroom, where setting a dreamy mood is of utmost importance. So to prove that this monochromatic palette is anything but one-dimensional and boring, I rounded up over twenty soothing, elegant, and surprisingly lush white bedrooms. Keep reading for a fresh batch of white bedroom design ideas that even rainbow-loving, Lisa Frank loyalists will fall for.

Designed by Suzanne Kasler, this white bedroom is peak Coastal Grandma comfort. "A neutral palette allows you to appreciate not only the architecture but the view outside as well," she says.

In this primary bedroom, designer Andy Beers of Ore Studios opted for less saturated versions of the colors used in the common rooms for a calming but continuous design. Crisp whites contrast with inky blacks and are united by a deep midnight blue tone.

Low ceilings can actually be a blessing, especially when the goal is to get cozy. In this Nantucket guest room, Elizabeth Georgantas embraced the low ceilings by opting for a curved four-poster bed that reaches up to the exposed beams. She then opened up the room by painting everything a soothing shade of off-white.

Less is more, particularly in a white bedroom. A simple color scheme and bare-bones decorating approach in this minimalist bedroom by Studio DIAA gives it a laidback yet polished character.

So that he could center a headboard on the wall, designer Shawn Henderson closed up a decorative fireplace. He decided not to extend it over the whole wall, leaving the corners empty for decorative statements. A coat of white paint helps the exposed brick wall blend in.

"I'm a big believer that within a home, different rooms should evoke different feelings and purposes," says designer Nanette Brown. The rest of the rooms in this NYC home are painted in deep, dark tones, while the bedroom features the opposite approach.

A custom asymmetrical headboard designed by BAMO evokes the shape (and feeling of safety that allows for regeneration!) of a cocoon in this bedroom by Richard Beard.

Looking out onto the San Francisco Bay, this all-white bedroom designed by Heather Hilliard is full of rich textures, from the cozy throw blanket and suede bench to the plush carpet. And not to fixate, but it really does look like it's floating in the clouds. Last cloud reference, I promise!

Have you ever wanted to crawl into a bed more than you have right now? The moody gray velvet walls and matching headboard bring a smokey, texturally rich allure and mystery to the otherwise white, bright, and airy space designed by Alison Pickart.

Minimalists, this one goes out to you. Interior designer Emil Dervish made use of the high ceilings but lack of floor space with built-in shelving. It also creates an architectural quirk in the crisp, clean room.

There are no rules here—which is to say, color is definitely not off limits. In this bedroom, design firm Abney & Morton painted the floors a light blue and laid down a similarly-hued rug. Then they chose a soothing olive fabric for the headboard, bed skirt, and chair, while white still dominates the rest of the room.

I want nothing more than to swan dive straight into this heavenly bed. Though there's not a lot going on in the room, it projects a strong sense of personal style. That's thanks to the details, from the frameless round mirror to the wrinkled linen bedding. Sometimes less is more and this is definitely one of those times.

A well-edited area gives you room to breathe in spaces large and small. In this industrial bedroom designed by Leanne Ford, the tight neutral color scheme prevents visual chaos while the natural light and layers of different materials inject warmth and an inviting spirit.

Hanging ceiling-high curtains around the bed will look even more dramatic and dreamy than a classic canopy. The sky blue comforter in this bedroom add a touch of playful cheer.

While only key pieces in this bedroom designed by Nicole Hollis are white (read: the bedding and walls), they tighten up the entire space. At the same time, the white elements doesn't diminish the moodier, more grounding pieces, like the artwork and furniture.
Corinne Mathern

This master bedroom designed by Corinne Mathern boasts a laid-back California coolness. The sculptural floor lamps (a refreshing departure from sconces or table lamps) exude confidence and quirk while the marigold throw pillows and neutral bedding feel more familiar.

Also designed by Leanne Ford Interiors, this white bedroom incorporates plenty of earth tones to spread warmth throughout the space. The exposed wood beams, rustic bed frame, and industrial pendant ground the room.

Choose a super simple cream, oat, and white color spectrum for a laidback and approachable style like this space designed by Hecker Guthrie (not to mention, a very easy decorating process). To keep that vibe alive, opt for an easy, affordable, chic bedside table that isn't really a table by stacking up some books.

With a mix of graphic prints and traditional staples, this Arent & Pyke-designed bedroom is truly timeless. To bring a little more depth to the space, opt for a more grayish/beigeish paint color, like Farrow & Ball's Elephant's Breath.

Leanne Ford has earned her reputation as the queen of white decorating, and you can definitely see why just by glancing at this bedroom. From the paper white pendant lights to the slipcovers, bed, and stone floors, everything is awash with white.

For a thoroughly all-white aesthetic, use a linen slipcover for the bed frame. In this bedroom by Leanne Ford, the French doors allow for more shared light to flow throughout the space, which makes the bright atmosphere even brighter.
LAURE JOLIET

ETC.etera made a wide open room feel livable and homey by breaking the space up into sections. The neutral color palette and array of vintage, lived-in pieces sprinkled throughout produce a more approachable and cozy atmosphere.

White and minimalism go well together, as evidenced by this bedroom designed by Emil Dervish. If you're already creating a custom bed frame, consider building a side table extension for a sleek, seamless, and tight space.

To break up a sea of ivory, add a few splashes of black. Leanne Ford opted for a black and white striped rug and black side table. Did we mention that she's the queen of white interiors?
